BT Ingenium in SPEA S.p.A. for the SIL training course on Functional Safety IEC 61508 and guidelines for the design of safety functions in the field of electric PDS (SR) drives IEC 61800-5-2.
The 3-day training course held by Teodoro Bove prepared and delivered on commission of the TUV NORD Italia to the designers of Automatic Testing Systems (ATE) and special machines of the leading company in the sector SPEA S.p.A.
The course presented and studied in detail the design requirements of the safety functions of PSD (Electrical Motor Power Drive System) devices in compliance with the functional safety life cycle of the series of standards IEC 61508 and the product standard IEC 61800-5 -2.
The course was structured by alternating presentations and explanations on the classic Functional Safety Management methodologies to create a SIL system life cycle according to the IEC 61508 standard and analysis and study of practical cases of electrical projects presented by the SPEA designers in order to pursue the aim. of a SIL2 / SIL3 certification of the safety functions to be integrated in their automatic test machine applications.
